How we approach skylight replacement
Reusing old flashing on a new skylight is a common shortcut that leads to leaks. We install new flashing with every replacement.
If your roof is due for replacement, doing the skylight at the same time is the most efficient path, since the shingles around it come off anyway.

Why is there fog between my skylight panes?
The seal between the panes has failed. It cannot be fixed by cleaning and usually means the unit should be replaced.
Can you replace a skylight without a new roof?
Yes. We remove and reinstall the shingles around the skylight and blend them in.
Do I need new flashing with a new skylight?
Yes. We always use new flashing with a new unit.
