Roof Leak Repair in Williamsburg, VA
RoofTrue finds and fixes roof leaks for homeowners in Williamsburg and across Hampton Roads. Water often travels along rafters before it shows on a ceiling, so the stain is rarely right under the problem. We trace it back to the source, usually flashing, a pipe boot, a valley or a vent, and repair that spot properly.

Our approach
How we approach roof leak repair
The most common leak sources we see are flashing around chimneys and walls, cracked rubber boots on plumbing vents, worn valleys where two roof planes meet, and nails that have backed out. Wind-driven rain, common near the bay and rivers, pushes water sideways into gaps that stay dry in a straight-down shower.
If the leak is a symptom of a roof that is worn out everywhere, we will tell you, so you can decide whether to keep repairing or plan a replacement.

Straight answers
Roof Leak Repair questions
Why does my roof only leak in heavy wind and rain?
Wind pushes water sideways and upward under shingles and flashing. A gap that stays dry in calm rain can leak in a storm. Flashing and vents are the usual suspects.
My roof leaks around the chimney. What causes that?
Usually worn or poorly installed step and counter flashing, or cracked mortar on the chimney itself. We check both.
Can you find a leak that others could not?
We trace water from the inside and the outside. Some leaks take more than one look, and we will be upfront if that is the case.
